Petzl Chicane Additional Brake

The Petzl CHICANE is an auxiliary braking device designed to allow ZIGZAG and ZIGZAG PLUS mechanical Prusiks to be used on single ropes. It provides continuous additional friction during descents while maintaining smooth rope movement during ascent.

Its ergonomic handle improves control and handling while limb walking, while the openable side plate allows quick installation onto the rope. Two replaceable friction pins provide consistent braking performance and help extend the service life of the device.
